HPAS Preliminary Stage – This stage consists of two papers,General Studies and the General Aptitude Test .
HPAS Mains Stage – Candidates must complete nine theory papers at this stage, which include General Studies Papers I to IV, two Language Papers (one of which is Hindi and other is english), an Essay Paper, and one Optional Paper.
HPAS Personality Test – This final stage is an interview where candidates are assessed on their suitability for a career in the administrative services.
HPPSC HPAS Prelims 2024 Overview
The HPAS Prelims is the initial phase of the Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission Examination. In 2023, over 30,000 students participated in this screening test, which is designed to qualify students for the HAS Mains Exam. Note: The HPAS Preliminary Examination serves solely as a screening test for the subsequent stages. The marks obtained here will not contribute to the final merit list, which is determined based on the scores from the HAS Mains and the Interview stages.
HPPSC Mains Syllabus Overview
Stage 2, the HPAS Mains Examination, consists of 8 papers, out of which 2 papers are language papers (one in English and one in Hindi), both qualifying in nature. One exam is an essay, another three papers cover General Studies (GS I, GS II, GS III), and the remaining two exams are on the optional subject you have chosen from the 31 optional subject options available. HPAS Interview Pattern:
The last stage of the HPPSC Exam is the interview, which contributes 150 marks to the total of 1050 marks. The basic information about the pattern of the HAS Interview is given below:
