ShowHideHimachal Pradesh has introduced a new scheme named Medha Protsahan Yojna 2024 (मेधा प्रोत्साहन योजना) to help meritorious students financially for getting coaching for various competitive exams. Under Himachal Pradesh Medha Protsahan Scheme, an incentive of Rs 1 lakh is provided by the government to the students of poor and economically weaker sections (SC, ST, OBC, BPL, IRDP) of the state for coaching purpose. of Rs 1 lakh will be provided. It is one of the Best Scholarship Schemes for Caoching of IAS and HPAS by Goverment of Himachal Pradesh
Himachal Pradesh Medha Protsahan Yojana will act as a boon for all the students of poor and economically weaker sections.
1) Features of Medha Protsahan Yojana 2024
The important features and highlights of HP Medha Protsahan Yojana 2023 are as follows :
- First, 350 students of 10+2 (Science-200, Commerce-75 & Arts 75) those who have completed their grade are eligible to receive up to ₹1 lakh in scholarship funds in Himachal Pradesh. This financial support is specifically designed to assist them in coaching for exams like CLAT/NEET/IIT-JEE/AIIMS/AFMC/NDA, UPSC IAS, which will help them pursue their academic endeavours.
- Secondly, this program extends its benefits to 150 Meritorious Graduates in Himachal Pradesh. This part of the scholarship is customized for individuals who are preparing for government service examinations. The recipients of this scholarship can utilize the funds for Online & Offline coaching in exams such as IAS, HPAS, HPAS allied and other government job related tests. This initiative presents an opportunity for ambitious students and professionals to attain their career goals, with financial aid.
- The state govt. of Himachal Pradesh has made a budgetary provision of Rs. 5 crore for coaching assistance under the Medha Protsahan Yojana for which announcement was made in the HP Budget 2023. All the students will get coaching assistance upto Rs. 1 lakh for competitive examinations and they can avail coaching either inside or outside the state.
2) Medha Protsahan Scholarship Scheme 2024 Online Application Form
"The Medha Protsahan Yojana, a prestigious initiative by the Higher Education Department, invites annual applications for its scholarship program. To seize this opportunity, students must follow the application process detailed below:
Eligibility and Online Application Submission for 12th Students: Students up to class 12th, preparing for competitive exams, can now apply online. Applications should be submitted to the Deputy Director of Higher Education of their district. The process has been made convenient with the option to apply online via email, besides the traditional postal method.
Undergraduate Students' Online Application Procedure:
Undergraduate students aiming to avail of this scholarship can now apply online. Their application forms should be sent to the Additional/Joint Director (College) at the Directorate of Education. The options for submission include both the online method via email (e.g., [email protected]) and through post.
Deadline for Online Applications:
Applicants must be mindful of the annual deadline for online submissions. Late applications, beyond this date, will not be entertained. It is advisable to regularly check the official website or contact the concerned department for updates on the deadline.

3) ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR CANDIDATES/STUDENTS
- He/she should be a bonafied resident of Himachal Pradesh.
- Reservation of seats will be as per the reservation policy of state government.
- Candidates must have secured atleast 75% marks in respect of General category, 65% in respect of SC/ST/OBC/IRDP/BPL in the previous class/examination in 12th class
- For graduate students they must have secured 50% marks for general category and 45% marks for SC/ST category in graduation.
- Eligible candidates shall submit their application form to the Director of Higher Education, Himachal Pradesh.
- Only candidates belonging to the meritorious students, having total family income from all sources not exceeding Rs.2.50 lakh per annum, double poverty line/BPL candidates will be eligible under the scheme.
- Benefits of coaching under the scheme can availed by a particular student only once, irrespective of the number of changes he/she may be entitled to in a particular competitive examination.
- 30% of the numbers sanctioned for coaching shall be earmarked for girl students/candidates.
4) IMPLEMENTING AGENCIES
The Department of Higher Education, Government of Himachal Pradesh shall invite the “Expression of Interest” from interested parties/organizations/societies / companies/institutions for their empanelment under this scheme.

If empanelled institute does not provide that coaching which showing in list in this year so we chose other institute or not if only that institute are filled?
